When Roo first arrived she was approximately the same size her head is now. She couldn’t properly control her limbs (or at times her bladder) and would run, drunkenly, around for about 15 minutes before falling fast asleep..
Now, however, she’s got that basic muscle-memory and Tom’s efforts to tire her out on the morning walk are tending towards ineffective. The more she runs, the fitter she gets, the longer she needs to run. So when Tom and I are ‘plugged in’ she find more and more ingenious ways of distracting us to play with her.
That said, she’s great to have in the office and, it’s true, dogs are awesome little stress busters. All it takes is a little waggy tail and those gleaming eyes and whatever is the current problem suddenly seems less of a challenge.
