The Warm Homes Discount is a one-off annual discount on your bill of £140 (currently) made to people on low incomes in receipt of certain benefits, or people on the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit (note that this does NOT affect your Cold Weather Payment or your Winter Fuel Payment should you also qualify for these).
The Warm Homes Discount is available through most energy providers but you have to apply to them directly (Switchd can’t do this for you, but remember to use your Switchd email address if you do apply).

What if my supplier has stopped trading?
The Warm Home Discount may still be available to you after your supplier has stopped trading.
Check with your new supplier if you're on low income. If you get the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit, the Department for Work and Pensions should have been in touch by mid-December.
When should I apply?
If you think you may be eligible for the Warm Homes Discount, we recommend that you apply as soon as possible to qualify for this winter’s discount. Some suppliers have already closed applications for this year!
