Your role

Partnerships are central to the success of Switchd so this is a great opportunity to make your mark on our growing business. You’ll have 2 or more years experience of working in partnerships or B2B sales, including making direct approaches to potential partners as well as managing ongoing relationships.

We already work with a wide range of partners from household names like Nationwide to fellow start-ups, hopefully the household names of the future!

You’ll be super-organised, juggling the priorities of negotiating with potential partners, onboarding new ones and managing our existing relationships. As the company develops we expect to make further hires in this team, so now is a great time to join.

Key responsibilities and areas of ownership

  • Ownership of the overall partnership channel for Switchd
  • Seeking new opportunities to grow the number of partners and the business we generate with them
  • Research new potential partners, identify key contacts, generate interest and develop accounts
  • Management of partners, including providing them with advice and reporting, driving additional revenue and extending the relationship

Requirements

  • 2 years + experience of working with commercial partners or B2B sales
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Great organisational and time management skills
  • Possess great energy and proactivity

Backend Developer

Your role

We're looking for a back-end developer to join our team. Our tech team is small but will be growing significantly in 2021, so you’ll be joining a fast pace small team. Supported by Tom our CTO/co-founder you’ll take ownership of further automating the back-end processes of Switchd, developing new features to improve the customer experience, and developing out the MakeMyHouseGreen proposition.
Our ideal candidate is someone who can show a passion for back-end development, is excited about the vision of our company and is an all round good egg.

Key responsibilities and areas of ownership

  • Further automation and control of managing customer energy switches
  • Resolving repeating customer issues highlighted by the customer service team
  • Implementation of new Switchd product features (Smart Meter data, algorithm options etc..)
  • API integrations for MakeMyHouseGreen to improve accuracy of the tool
  • Implementation of new MakeMyHouseGreen product features (Developing an ongoing relationship with customers)
  • Ensuring a strong testing process for releases

Requirements

  • Clearly evidenced problem solving ability in previous technology applications
  • A portfolio of successfully delivered projects
  • A solid understanding of technical architecture
  • A solid understanding of database structures and MYSQL
  • Previous experience in a tech startup is preferable but not essential
  • Well organised and time effective
  • Friendly and personable
