Switchd Settings

  • Tell us what's important to you when we switch you to a new deal. This includes how you want us to handle exit fees or minimum savings amount.
  • You can even tell us to exclude certain suppliers from future switches.

Open up the Switchd Settings page to tell us what's important to you when we're finding the next deal for you:

  • Minimum Saving i.e. what's the smallest amount of savings we should find to justify a switch.
  • How we handle exit fees; would you like us to switch if they still apply? (savings are always include any exit fee).
  • What sort of deals you want us to consider under tariff preferences.
  • Exclude suppliers (or include them if they manage to get back in your good books).

Deals come with end dates - if you end early, you'll be charged an exit fee. We'll work out whether it's worth you paying that to move to another provider.

Credit check preferences

Before agreeing to take you on as a customer many energy suppliers now conduct hard credit checks, which could appear on your credit report for up to 12 months. This is to ensure that customers can manage their energy payments reliably.

So we can offer the whole market to our customers, you can have these included in your comparison by letting us know by emailing team@switchd.co.uk. However in our experience it is more pain than it's worth, so we'd really recommend leaving them out.
